April 10, 2024-Meeting Minutes

Attendees:

New Business:

Jeffco Open Space project management representatives, Amara & Christina, met to explain their future plans to develop the Van Bibber Park and Greenway and extend the trail from Indiana street all the way West to the Fairmont Canal trail. Construction won’t commence until 2025 at the earliest. Should The Trails want to create a direct “access point” more resources can be given. 

Clean Up Day will be May 4th 

Old Business: 

East Fence Repair 

No Name creek brush clean up 

Entrances - weed and trim trees 

Replace broken fence rails 

Add crusher fines to Fairmont Trail access trails. 

Website Updates - Terese Manley had offered to support Julia Renn in updating website details/info. No progress has been made, as far as the board is aware, in this coordination. 

No Name Creek: Previous engineering report was recovered. Formal bid from “Skyline Landscape” was requested. Once scope of creek cleanup is defined from the report and first bid, additional bids for cleanup work will need to be acquired. 

Legal Bylaws Update: Board had engaged Altitude Family Law, as of Nov 2022, to bring our bylaws into compliance. The Trails HOA board needs to complete a legal questionnaire to define scope of legal work by July 2024. 

Heidi Kessler has brought attention to her concerns with the safety and security implications of the mental health facility at 17767 59th Pl. The board had decided their initial goal is to make contact with the management and/or owners of the facility to communicate our concerns.
