Public Comment
Marcy & Ron Kimminau would like to build a fence on their property to block the vault and the new metal fence.
The fence they’re proposing is 8’
It’s a vinyl fence
Their 120’ is going to cost over 3K.
Marcy will send the plan over along with a pic of the fence. The board will review the bylaws and the plan and vote on 5/19
Update: Due to the price of fencing, Marcy has withdrawn her request
Old Business
Pine Tree Spraying
There were 17-19 trees treated
All trees on common space were treated
Will need to be done annually for a bit until this is fully mitigated
Teasel
Mowing is complete
Spraying will happen in May
We shouldn’t need to mow again now that we’ve taken care of the worst of it
Fencing
Due to the higher cost of lumber, the cost to replace the fencing this year is too high to do with our current HOA dues.
Do we want to replace the fencing on the entry along 60th to improve the aesthetics of the entry to our neighborhood?
Do we want to piecemeal replacements
Proposal to get a work crew with deck screws to repair the damaged portion
Long term: survey to homeowners to find out preference (7K feet for full property, 1600’ along 60th x $15-$30 per linear foot for installing buck and rail).
Determine:
Do we want to do a full replacement?
Do we want to do a full repair?
What is the timeframe that would be acceptable to people
We would need to do an assessment to pay for this
Spring Cleanup: Could we ask people to help repair the fencing behind their homes? Perhaps, if people can’t help out we can solicit donations. If we are unable to raise/repair enough this year we’ll need to consider a special assessment next year (would notify residents in the fall)
New Business
Spring Cleanup
3rd Week of May (May 22 is work party, May 21-25 for Dumpsters)
Announce in a letter along with the fence survey
Keith will create a sign-up genius to enable families to sign up for tasks to complete on their own
Neighborhood maintenance
Will be offered to the same teens who usually do it. If they’re not interested, we will open it up. Cindi will contact them.
Cindi will get the wood chipper contractor (will happen a few weeks later). We will post on the website with guidance about using these piles.
Emails
Cindi and Julia will work on getting all resident email addresses and updating our email lists
Fall BBQ
This will be held this year on August 28
Therese: $250 visa gift certificate for doing the waste removal. THANK YOU Therese!!! Bob will pick this up.
